Thymuskin was developed in Germany over 25 years by 9 physicians whose main focus was patients suffering from hair loss as a result of chemotherapy.
Anyone who wishes to promote natural hair growth and strengthen weak hair needs to literally go to the root of the problem and that is exactly what Thymuskin does with the scientifically tested method of treatment with thymus peptides to obtain natural, healthy hair without side effects.
Numerous studies show that thymic peptides have a regenerating and strengthening effect on the hair follicles - and can stop hair loss.
The Thymuskin active ingredient complex is an integrated reproduction of the natural thymus extract - a peptide structure modelled on nature. Peptides are the building blocks of life for the skin and hair. Each of these thymus peptides has a specific task. The function of 'signal' peptides can be simplified like the operation of a light switch. In this way, cell processes can be triggered or prevented. Thus, numerous Thymuskin peptides evolve into a positive, synergistic and nature-like effect.
The biological effectiveness of Thymuskin is particularly evident in the activation of the hair cells (keratinocytes), which influence the physiological growth of the hair. The hair formation is stimulated and the growth phase extended. Various enzymes that play a crucial role in the development of hair loss are inhibited. This stimulates hair growth in a sustainable way.

Application of the Thymuskin system is very simple. For best results, it's recommended to use Thymuskin shampoo in combination with Thymuskin scalp serum. The skin friendly shampoo gently cleanses the scalp of accumulated dirt particles and prepares the scalp for the asorption of the Thymuskin serum.
You can use Thymuskin shampoo whenever you wash you hair (at least 1 x a week).
Application of Thymuskin Shampoo
- For gentle cleaning and basic conditioning, rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water.
- Massage the shampoo into the hair and scalp and let it take effect briefly.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
- Dry the cleaned hair, preferably with a towel.
Use a hazelnut-sized amount (about 1.5 ml) for short hair or double the amount for long hair.
Application of Thymuskin Serum
- Place the applicator tip directly on the scalp to apply the Thymuskin serum in drops to the scalp.
- Massage the serum with your fingertips in circular motions into the scalp until it seems dry.
- Proceed in this way. Usually it needs about 4-6 parted hair lines to cover the total scalp. It is a leave-in product, do not rinse out.
- The Thymuskin serum can be applied to the scalp if hair is damp or dry. You can also use it on days when the hair has not been washed.
- You can use styling products as normal, but don't apply to the scalp.
- Avoid pointing a hair dryer directly onto the scalp. Blow dry with distance and only warm, not hot air.
How Long do I Need to use Thymuskin for?
Acclimitisation: When starting to use Thymuskin, the activation of hair follicles can lead to a slight increase in hair loss, called the Shedding Effect. Please note that the increased hair loss is a positive signal that confirms the activation of the hair roots.
In order to minimise the Shedding Effect, adjust the application of Thymuskin shampoo to your usual washing rhythm (at least twice a week). Apply Thymuskin serum for the first 6 weeks every 2 days and thereafter daily (even on days when you do not wash your hair). When you wish to stop using Thymuskin, this process should be reversed and usage should be slowly reduced.
After acclimitisation, use 1 x daily until a significant improvement occurs. Thereafter, a reduction to 3 x per week. Once the desired result is achieved, Thymuskin can be slowly discontinued.
For diffuse hair loss, depending on the cause and stage, a minimum period of use of 3 - 6 months is recommended.
For genetically caused hair loss, long-term use is recommended, since the cause can not be eliminated due to the genetic predisposition. After discontinuation of Thymuskin hair loss might occur again. First successes may be seen after 12 weeks, depending on the stage and condition of the hair roots.
For circular hair loss: As soon as the bald spots are overgrown again, use may be reduced to 3 x per week for another 4-6 weeks in order to maintain the success. Afterwards, Thymuskin can be slowly discontinued.
All Thymuskin shampoos are suitable for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as well as for children over the age of 3. Thymuskin is very well tolerated when used as directed.
For external use only, keep out of the reach of children.

Studies and controlled observational scientific investigations performed on more than 1,000 men and women at dermatology and university clinics in Germany and internationally have verified the effectiveness of Thymuskin on all forms of hair loss.
The success rate for androgenetic hair loss (hereditary hair loss often referred to as male pattern hair loss or female pattern hair loss), telogen effluvium (hair thinning or hair shedding), alopecia areata (spot baldness) and mildforms of cytostatic drug-induced alopecia (chemotherapy related hair loss) averages well over 90%, with no side effects involved even with long-term use.
Androgenetic Alopecia (hereditary hair loss)
A study was undertaken investigating the effectiveness and tolerability of Thymuskin (serum and shampoo) in the initial phase of androgenetic alopecia (AGA) over a period of six months. The study included 364 test subjects.
The patients used the serum once a day and the shampoo three times a week over a total period of 24 weeks.
- After 6 months hair loss reduced in an average of 96% of patients
- Sebororrohea (excessively oily skin) and erythema (skin irritation) improved in at least 89% of patients in each case
- Itching was eliminated in 74% of women and 75% of men
Chronic Telogen Effluvium (hair thinnning / shedding)
A study was undertaken investigating the effectiveness and tolerability of Thymuskin (serum and shampoo) in 184 women and 57 men with chronic telogen effluvium (chronic TE) over a period of six months.
- Hair loss reduced in an average of 99% of patients
- Seborrhoea and erythema improved in at least 93% of women and 76 %of men
- Itching eliminated in 80% of women and 51% of men
Alopecia Areata (Circular hair loss or spot baldness)
Two studies were performed investigating Thymuskin’s effectiveness in 16 patients with alopecia areata (AA) over a period of 12 months.
- Number of hairs lost daily reduced by 96%
- New hair growth in 65% - 86% of patients
- Full remission in 40% of patients
Cytostatic Drud-Induced Alopecia (Chemotherapy induced hair loss)
A study was undertaken to investigate the extent to which hair loss as a side effect of cytostatic chemotherapy can be affected by the prophylactic application of Thymuskin alongside the treatment.
- Thymuskin is 3 times more likely to prevent hair loss or total reversible alopecia under cytostatic (chemotherapy) therapy.
- With ‘mild’ cytostatic therapy, Thymuskin maintains hair condition in up to 94% of patients.
- Thymuskin use can maintain hair condition significantly more often for patients undergoing ‘mild’ cytostatic therapy (5-fluorouracil) than for patients undergoing ‘aggressive’ cytostatic therapy (Adriamycin).
- The positive effects of Thymuskin on hair condition are more significant for patients with breast or colon cancer than for patients with oesophageal or stomach cancer.

Thymuskin classic shampoo and serum have been proven to be particulalry effective at helping with alopecia androgenetica, the medical term used to refer to hereditary hair loss.
Inherited hypersensitivity of the hair follicles to androgens, particularly to DHT (dihydrotestosterone), causes the hair follicles to degenerate progressively. This affects both men and women, with the main difference being in the way it progresses.
- The more advanced the degeneration of the hair follicles, the more severe the hair loss will be.
- Bald spots should be treated as early as possible.
- It is advisable to try to preserve and strengthen the existing hair structure.
Thymuskin Classic shampoo and serum can be used for all types and stages of hairloss but have been proven to be especially effective for androgenetic or hereditary hair loss. Can be used where balding is already present for a maximum of 3 years.
Thymuskin Classic contains the optimal dose of the active ingredient GKL-02.
Results of clinical tests:
In a study published in 2013 in the Journal of Plastic Dermatology (Issue 9, 2013 - ISSN 2035-0686) the efficacy and tolerability of Thymuskin Classic (serum and shampoo) was investigated in 53 women and 70 men with intial androgenetic hair loss over a period of 6 months.
Among the male testers the pull test showed an improvement of 94% in the beginning stage of genetic hair loss. Among the female testers the pull test showed an improvementof 98% in the beginning stage of genetic hair loss.
Hair loss reduced in an average of 96% of patients.
Sebororrohea (excessively oily skin) and erythema (skin irritation) improved in at least 89% of patients in each case.
Itching was eliminated in 74% of women and 75% of men.
